Position:
Researcher at CHNL in Bodo, Norway
Education:
PhD Degree in Logistics from Molde University College (HiMolde), Norway
Research Interests:
Ning’s PhD project focused on more efficient Asia-Europe supply chains characterized by upstream store-level/buyer consolidation and downstream rail/short-sea based intermodal solutions, which would benefit actors in the transport and retailing industry. This new approach has the potential to save on logistics cost and minimize environmental impacts through lowering the emissions of greenhouse gases and reducing negative health impacts from transport in congested and densely populated areas. It may also have positive impacts on logistics lead-time and supply chain resilience. Ning will contribute to CHNL in the field of ship traffic analysis and transport economics.
