THE KVU FOR NORTHERN NORWAY WILL BE PRESENTED THIS AUTUMN: WHAT OPPORTUNITIES DOES IT OFFER FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORT IN THE NORTH?
In 2020, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Avinor, the Norwegian Railway Directorate and the Norwegian Coastal Administration were commissioned by the Norwegian Transport Directorate to carry out a conceptual study (KVU) that will lay the foundation for future transport in Northern Norway. This study will be completed in autumn 2023, and the major findings pointed out in the report can be presented and discussed.
The KVU contains many major themes. We want to create an awareness in people before the KVUs are presented. The KVU will be a tool for creating the changes we want, in municipalities and regions. Common goals – agree on the “big” things. The KVUs will facilitate political debates and decisions afterwards.
